Description
COR®BON’s 9mm Luger 95gr DPX sets a new standard in personal defense performance. Designed for critical situations, this lead-free, solid copper load delivers barrier-blind penetration, reliable expansion, and consistent stopping power—no matter what stands in the way.
The DPX® (Deep Penetrating X-panding) bullet is a 100% solid copper projectile, engineered with internal serration cuts. These serrations allow the bullet to expand instantly and uniformly upon impact, creating six sharp petals that double its diameter while maintaining structural integrity. Unlike traditional jacketed hollow points that often clog or fragment, DPX keeps its form and penetrates deep—without over-penetrating.
The 9mm Luger 95gr DPX excels in real-world conditions. COR®BON’s R&D team tested this round using FBI protocol, which includes penetration through four layers of heavy denim into 10% ballistic gelatin. The result? 12″–18″ of reliable penetration and a large permanent wound cavity. Additionally, this load retained 100% of its weight—even after penetrating automotive glass and steel.
Firing at 1300 fps and generating 356 ft-lbs of energy from a 3.1-inch test barrel, this lightweight, fast-moving load balances speed, energy transfer, and recoil control, making it ideal for concealed carry and short-barreled pistols.
Because DPX is lead-free, it’s fully legal for use in California and other restrictive jurisdictions—without sacrificing performance.
