COR®BON JHP is the original HOT STUFF. Back in 1982, our testing revealed a critical flaw in most jacketed hollow point (JHP) ammunition—they often clogged with clothing and failed to expand in soft tissue, passing through like hardball rounds and causing minimal damage.
To solve this, we engineered the original COR®BON JHP with a higher velocity than any competitor. The result? Independent studies* showed that our fast, violently expanding rounds transferred energy so rapidly in ballistic gelatin that they achieved a one-shot stopping power rate exceeding 90%. This rapid expansion also helps reduce the risk of over-penetration. On average, COR®BON JHP achieves 9–15 inches of penetration—ideal for defensive use.
Our line of high-velocity JHP ammunition remains PROVEN effective and continues to lead the industry in STOPPING POWER.

The science is simple: the faster a bullet travels, the more energy it generates—and that energy must be transferred into the target to be effective. Velocity enhances expansion. Expansion accelerates energy transfer. The result is explosive terminal performance, tremendous shock power, and immediate stopping power.
And stopping power means safety.
Don’t be fooled by claims of “magic” formulas or reduced-power loads promising superior results. We believe in real performance, not marketing myths.
