Patented Design for Reliable Feeding

Invented by Peter Pi, Sr. and patented in 2004 (U.S. Patent #6,792,869), Pow’RBall® was created to eliminate feeding issues common in certain pistols without sacrificing terminal effectiveness. By placing a polymer ball into the hollow cavity and crimping it in place, COR®BON developed a bullet that feeds like FMJ—but expands like a high-performance JHP.

Aerodynamic and Controlled Expansion

The round features a gilding metal jacket and a lead core shaped into a patented “V” cavity. Topped with a round polymer ball, this bullet becomes more aerodynamic in flight and extremely reliable in cycling through semi-automatic pistols. Upon impact, the polymer ball delays expansion just enough to allow deeper penetration before peeling back into a full mushroom.

Consistent Performance

Because the polymer tip prevents clogging from clothing or debris, the bullet expands consistently and completely in soft tissue. This gives Pow’RBall its reputation for high shock value, better weight retention, and faster follow-up shots. Its lighter weight and reduced recoil also enhance control and comfort during repeated firing.
