Patented Pow’RBall Design for Reliable Feeding
Invented by Peter Pi, Sr. and patented in 2004 (U.S. Patent #6,792,869), Pow’RBall® was engineered to solve feeding issues in certain pistols without losing terminal performance. By placing a polymer ball inside the hollow cavity and crimping it in place, COR®BON created a bullet that feeds like FMJ but expands like a top-tier JHP. This makes it especially dependable in compact firearms and concealed carry guns.
Aerodynamic Shape and Controlled Expansion
The round features a gilding metal jacket and a lead core shaped into a patented “V” cavity. Topped with a round polymer ball, the 9mm Luger +P 100gr Pow’RBall becomes more aerodynamic in flight and extremely reliable during cycling.
On impact, the polymer ball delays expansion just enough to drive deeper before peeling back into a full mushroom. This helps produce strong penetration paired with rapid, controlled expansion.
Consistent Performance Through Barriers
Because the polymer tip prevents clogging from clothing or debris, the bullet expands fully and consistently in soft tissue.
