The 240gr JHP bullet features a soft lead core enclosed in a gilding metal jacket. Scoring on the jacket ensures expansion happens quickly and evenly upon impact. As a result, the bullet mushrooms to nearly double its original diameter, creating large wound channels while retaining energy. Because it is a non-bonded bullet, it is tuned for controlled expansion rather than extreme penetration—ideal for medium game and defensive use.
