DPX Overview

COR®BON’s DPX® Handgun ammunition delivers superior performance compared to all other defensive ammo. This is because it uses a homogenous solid copper projectile. Furthermore, “Barrier blind” describes ammo that performs well after penetrating heavy barriers like auto glass or steel. DPX® is the only ammo that keeps 100% of its weight after passing through such obstacles.

Lead-Free Certification

All DPX bullets are certified lead-free and can be used in California. In addition, this ensures environmental safety without reducing performance.

Bullet Anatomy

The DPX bullet is 100% solid copper. Also, internal serration cuts replace traditional external serrations. These cuts allow the copper bullet to fully expand, doubling in diameter and creating six razor-sharp petals. As a result, it maximizes terminal performance while keeping full weight.

Penetration Testing Results

COR®BON’s R&D team used the FBI testing protocol to create the DPX® defensive line. Key results include:

• Soft tissue penetration of 12–18 inches

• Reliable and consistent expansion

• Recovered bullets retain 100% of original size and weight

• Tested through 10% ballistic gelatin and four layers of 10oz denim

• Permanent crush cavity larger than typical JHP rounds
