DPX Overview

COR®BON’s DPX® Handgun ammunition delivers unmatched performance compared to other defensive rounds. The secret lies in its homogenous solid copper projectile. “Barrier blind” refers to ammo that performs exceptionally well after penetrating heavy barriers like auto glass or steel. Importantly, DPX® maintains 100% of its weight even after passing through such obstacles.

Lead-Free Certification

All DPX bullets are certified lead-free and comply with California restrictions. Therefore, you can use them in locations requiring lead-free ammunition without concern.

Bullet Anatomy

The DPX bullet is 100% solid copper. Additionally, internal serration cuts replace traditional external serrations. These internal cuts allow the bullet to expand fully, doubling in diameter and forming six razor-sharp petals upon impact.

Penetration Testing Results

COR®BON’s research and development team used FBI protocols to formulate the DPX® defensive line. As a result, bullets achieved:

• Soft tissue penetration of 12–18 inches

• Reliable and consistent expansion

• Retention of 100% original size and weight when recovered from 10% ballistic gelatin and four layers of 10oz denim

• Permanent crush cavity significantly larger than typical JHP rounds
